The news of D.B. Cooper is long gone. Right? Wrong! The FBI are back and hot on the trail of D.B. Cooper. Here is a quick summary of what Dan Cooper did 40 years ago. D.B. extorted $200,000, then hijacked an airplane (he ordered a whiskey and while the flight attendant was serving him a drink he handed her a napkin that said "I HAVE A BOMB IN MY BRIEFCASE. I WILL USE IT IF NECESSARY. I WANT YOU TO SIT NEXT TO ME. YOU ARE BEING HIJACKED") just to make a daring jump with a parachute and has never been seen since.
The recent tip provided to the FBI came from a law enforcement member who directed investigators to a person who might have helpful information on the suspect, FBI spokeswoman Ayn Sandalo Dietrich told The Seattle Times on Sunday. She called the new information the "most promising lead we have right now," but cautioned that investigators were not on the verge of breaking the case.
